To Our Okanagan Community, On behalf of everyone at Liquid Ride, together with our partners Wizard Lake Marine and Orchard Ford, we want to extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to the families, first responders, volunteers, and communities affected by the devastating wildfires across the Okanagan. For many months, we've been planning Beach Bash as a celebration of everything we love about living in the Okanagan—our lakes, our local businesses, our community, and the incredible people who call this valley home. In light of the recent wildfires, however, it doesn't feel right to celebrate while so many of our neighbours are facing uncertainty and loss. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been evacuated, displaced, or impacted, and with the courageous individuals working tirelessly to protect our communities. The Okanagan has always been defined by its resilience. Time and again, we've seen neighbours helping neighbours, businesses supporting one another, and communities coming together when it matters most. We know that spirit will carry us through this difficult time. With that in mind, we have made the decision to postpone Beach Bash to Sunday, August 30 at Oyama Beach. Rather than marking the middle of summer, we hope Beach Bash will become a celebration of our community's resilience—a day to come together, support one another, and celebrate everything that makes the Okanagan such a special place to live. We will share updated event details in the coming weeks once it is appropriate to do so. Until then, please stay safe, look after one another, and thank you to everyone on the front lines protecting our communities. The Okanagan has faced difficult times before, and together, we'll come through this stronger than ever. We look forward to seeing you at the beach when the time is right.
